However we found out that when we were due there, that one Brazillian friend would be in Spain, and the other doing Machu Picchu! So we changed our trip to visit Chile and Patagonia instead. The ironic thing was that, the friend we were to do Machu Picchu with got sick, and went back home, and the other friend delayed her trip a week for other reasons. So we COULD have gone to Brazil. Even more annoying was that all the travellers we spoke to who went via the Pantanal couldn't stop gushing about it. We got really annoyed. Grrr. Ah well, Brazil next time eh?
