Jesuit Church in Pisco
Stately Decaying Jesuit Church in Pisco. We were helped by a very friendly Peruvian man who explained to us in very simple and slow spanish about the Church, and answered our questions.
The Jesuit chuch is free to visit, however its in a poor state of disrepair as there is no money whatsoever to restore it. He said that he hopes there will be money next year to restore it somewhat. There were pigeons cooing inside, and paintings gold knows how old, sitting on the floor with huge rips in them. Statues missing their heads, if they were there at all, and paint peeling off the ceiling. Que Pena. The Church is 277 years old.
